Alexandra House Nursery
Alexandra House was originally established in 1839 as an orphanage for the daughters of servicemen.
The Nursery registered with Ofsted in April 2004 and today offers care, learning, and development for children from 2 years until the start of formal education. We are in receipt of government funding for all 3 and 4 year old children and 2 year old children who are eligible for Me2 funding. We also offer the 30 hour funding for eligible 3 and 4 year olds.
Alexandra House is located in its own grounds in a quiet residential area of North Plymouth.
We welcome children on a full time or sessional basis, and aim to be flexible in meeting the needs of our children and families.
We are committed to providing the highest level of care, learning, and development. We look forward to working in partnership with you in order for your child to enjoy a bright start at the beginning of their learning journey.
Our setting aims to:
- Provide safe, high quality care and education for children below statutory school age.
- Work in partnership with parents/carers to help children learn and develop.
- Add to the life and wellbeing of the local community, and
- Offer children and their parents/carers a service that provides equality and values diversity.
