Alexandra House Childcare Centre
Alexandra House was originally established in 1839 as an orphanage for the daughters of servicemen.
Originally registered with Ofsted in April 2004, today we accept working parent funding for eligible families and 'Early learning for 2 year olds' funding.
Alexandra House is located in its own grounds in a quiet residential area of North Plymouth.
We welcome children on a full time or sessional basis, and aim to be flexible in meeting the needs of our children and families.
We are committed to providing the highest level of care, learning, and development. We look forward to working in partnership with you in order for your child to enjoy a bright start at the beginning of their learning journey.
Our setting aims to:
- Provide safe, high quality care and education for children below statutory school age.
- Work in partnership with parents/carers to help children learn and develop.
- Add to the life and wellbeing of the local community, and
- Offer children and their parents/carers a service that provides equality and values diversity.
What Ofsted Say
- Children arrive happy at this warm, welcoming setting. Friendly, attentive and nurturing staff greet them with smiles.
- All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), and their families, are very well supported.
- Parents say staff go 'above and beyond' to meet the individual needs of their children. Parents describe the setting as 'amazing'.
